Annual General Meeting

At the Dom Polski, 1 McDonald Street, Morningside.

Starts 2pm.

Last year we started a new tradition: We served tea and cake to those who arrived on time. It proved popular, so we will be doing it again. It was good to chat to old friends, and introduce ourselves to potential new members.

This year is an election year, and therefore important for members to have their voices heard.

If you think that you have something to offer the Polish Association in Auckland, we urge you to put your name forward to join the committee. This is especially important this year, as our president, Dariusz Koper, is leaving Auckland and is forced to step down. (For more, see our post “Follow me, I’m right behind you.”)

Like Poles in Auckland, or many places outside Poland, we on the committee are an eclectic mix of backgrounds and abilities. You do not need to speak Polish, and you do not need to have been in New Zealand for decades. All you need is a dedication to help our Polish community.

We are looking for reliable people who are able to organise markets and events, and support our social media output and newsletter. We are also looking for someone to take over the running of the website.

See you there!
