Christmas Message 2021

Dear Members of the Auckland Polish Association, our Polish Community and our friends.

We are closing in on the most important time of the year for most of us and our families during Christmas, preparing to say goodbye to 2021, and welcoming the new year.

The challenges of Covid-19 restrictions in Auckland especially have made difficult for us to connect in person with many of you. Much as we wanted to share good times and great food at our Polish House, the events we had planned had to be cancelled. 

We refreshed our website and stayed connected via social media as much as we could to keep the Polish spirits up and maintain our connection with you. This has not been perfect for everyone, and we appreciate those who have shared the news and posts with our elders who may not have the same access to online tools to read about the updates.  Our newsletters are emailed, posted online and hard copies sent to those we know they have no access to digital version.

It has been another challenging year for everyone. On behalf of all of the Executive Committee, I wish you all a very joyful, healthy and safe Christmas and Happy New Year 2022. 

We are all looking forward to seeing you all again in 2022.

Drodzy Członkowie Stowarzyszenia Polaków Auckland, nasza Polonia i nasi przyjaciele. 

Zbliżamy się do najważniejszego okresu w roku dla większości z nas i naszych rodzin w okresie Bożego Narodzenia i przygotowujemy się do pożegnania się z 2021 r. i powitania nowego roku.

Wyzwania wynikające z ograniczeń Covid-19 utrudniły nam kontakt osobisty i dzielenie się z Wami dobrymi chwilami i wspaniałym jedzeniem w naszym Domu Polskim, ponieważ zaplanowane przez nas wydarzenia musiały zostać odwołane.

Odświeżyliśmy naszą stronę internetową i bylismy w kontakcie za pośrednictwem mediów społecznościowych tak bardzo, jak tylko mogliśmy, aby podtrzymać polski duch i utrzymać kontakt z Wami w tym czasie. Nie było to idealne rozwiązanie dla wszystkich i doceniamy tych, którzy udostępnili wiadomości i posty naszym starszym osobom, którzy mogą nie mieć takiego samego dostępu do internetu, aby przeczytać nasze wiadomości. Nasze biuletyny są wysyłane pocztą elektroniczną, publikowane online, a wersje papierowe wysyłane do osób, o których wiemy, że nie mają dostępu do wersji elektronicznej.

To był kolejny pełen wyzwań rok dla wszystkich. W imieniu całego Zarządu życzę wszystkim bardzo radosnych, zdrowych i bezpiecznych Świąt Bożego Narodzenia oraz Szczęśliwego Nowego Roku 2022.

Wszyscy czekamy na ponowne spotkanie w 2022 roku.
