Zarząd Stowarzyszenia Polaków w Auckland zwołuje pilne Specjalne Walne Zebranie w dniu 04/02/2018 w Domu Polskim, 1 McDonald Street, Auckland w celu zaakceptowania wydatków związanych z budową dwóch, dodatkowych miejszych pomieszczeń w Domu Polskim.
Walne Zebranie w dniu 19/02/2017 zobowiązało Zarząd do modernizacji Domu Polskiego (budowy dwóch dodatkowych pomieszczeń) był to długi proces i bardzo czasochłonny proces, w effekcie, którego znaleźliśmy zainteresowane firmy oraz uzyskaliśmy wycenę pracę.
Modernizacja Domu Polskiego jest niezbędna i stwarza pewne szanse dla dalszego działania i funkcjonowania Stowarzyszenia, które od wielu lat napotyka na wiele trudności w swoim działaniu. Głównym celem budowy sal jest zoptymizowanie wynajmu (który jest jednym żródłem pokrywającym koszty utrzymania Domu polskiego) oraz przeniesienie szkoły do Domu Polskiego umożliwiając w ten sposób wypełnieniane i celów Statutowych Stowarzyszenia i stworzy szanse na kontynuację istnienia i działania tej organizacji w przyszłości.

The Executive of the Auckland Polish Association is calling an urgent Special General Meeting on 04/02/2018 at the Polish House, 1 McDonald Street, Auckland to approve expenses related to the construction of two additional rooms in the Polish House.
The Special General Meeting on 19/02/2017 obligated the Executive to modernize the Polish House (construction of two additional rooms). It was a long process and a very time-consuming process, and as the result of the process the Executive finally found a company interested in the building of the two rooms and received a quotation.
The APA for many years has been facing major difficulties to function effectively, providing support for Poles in Auckland and in the promotion of Polish culture language and history. Modernization of the Polish Home is indispensable and creates a chance for the future of the APA.
The main purpose of building the rooms is to optimize hall hire (which is the only source of income to maintain the costs of the Polish House). Additionally the building will allow to transfer the Polish school to the Polish House, enabling to fulfill the purposes of the APA and create opportunities for the future existence and operations of the organization.

The Auckland Polish Association (APA) is an active, charitable community organisation dedicated to promoting Polish culture, history and language with the aim of uniting all those interested in things Polish.
The APA organises many events for everyone to enjoy. We believe in gathering people together across generations.

We are looking for an experienced person to manage our Polish House, events and relationships with members, customers and suppliers.
This is a great opportunity for a person who wants to make a difference managing a community organisation.

If you are a motivated and energetic person with great communication and organisation skills, and you are looking for a part-time employment, we would like to hear from you.
As the successful candidate you will be responsible for the day to day operation of the Polish House and events management. You will be reporting to the APA Committee.
This is a new role with immediate start on a part- time bases with flexible working hours.

Key responsibilities and tasks include:
- Management of the property including operational processes, policies and regulations,
- Applying for funds and managing fundraising events
- Managing car park rentals and hall hire
- Accurate record keeping and maintaining of financial accounts for the APA
- Regular reporting to the Treasurer and the APA Committee
- Communicating with members of the APA and customers, including management of social media.

Core competencies:
- End to end event planning
- Budget management
- Excellent knowledge of MS Office Suite and proficiency in social media platforms
- Knowledge of digital marketing and tools

Helpful competencies:
- Full driver's license
- Sales & Sponsorship skills
- Graphic design experience
