Program of the Auckland Polish Reunion – Labour Weekend
The purpose of the Auckland Polish Reunion is to bring all Poles and people of Polish descent together to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the Pahiatua Polish Children’s arrival in New Zealand.
We have several events happening over Labour Weekend:
New Zealand Polish Film Festival – Thursday 24th and Saturday 26th October
There will be a different movie each evening on Thursday 24 October and Saturday 26 October at The Bridgeway Cinema, 122 Queen Street, Northcote. More details coming soon! See www.nzpff.nz and @nzpff for more information and updates. The opening night gala screening on 24th October will be preceded with a mix and mingle with drinks and canapes.
Polish Market Day – Saturday, 26th October
The Auckland Polish Association invites you to join us at the Dom Polski (Polish House, 1 McDonald Street, Sandringham) on Saturday 26th October from 12 pm to 3 pm for a Polish Market. There will be stalls selling delicious Polish food from ciastka, pierogi, kiełbasy and more. There will be a light Polish lunch available for purchase. Catch up and reminisce with friends over photos, historical memorabilia, and a Polish afternoon tea.
Thanksgiving Mass – Sunday, 27th October
11 am at St Paul’s Chapel (St Paul’s College, 183 Richmond Road, Ponsonby).
Obiad (Polish Lunch) – Sunday, 27th October
1 pm at the Dalmatian Cultural Society at 10 New North Road, Eden Terrace, Auckland. Following lunch, there will be entertainment including the talented Polonus – Polish Folk Dance Group from Christchurch.
For catering purposes, you need to get your completed registration forms back to us by 23rd September 2019.
